Militia played thrash metal with a power metal sense of melody and vocal approach, not unlike Heathen, Vicious Rumors, Apocrypha and Sanctuary. It almost sounds like Warrel Dane fronting Forbidden, if you can imagine that. The guitar work here is very impressive, both in terms of high speed riffing and a good level of technicality, and the higher vocal range adds an element that a lot of thrash metal bands didn't have. It's a pretty killer combo, and makes you wish they had managed to record more than just these few songs.
