Reflection was formed in 1992 in Dortmund, Germany. Like their country mates Kreator and Destruction, they play thrash metal.
With their album 'Made in Hell' Reflection were called "one of the best German Thrash-Newcomers" by big German metal-magazines. Thrash Metal the Bay Area way, but more technical. The vocals have something from Gerre from the TANKARD. Razor sharp guitars and lots of breaks. Sometimes,they also drift into Progressive genres.

Im Valentin (stage name Valentin The Mad) - a lead guitarist-solo artist and I recently released a new track for my solo project. BEWITCHED, comprising Vargher, handling vocals, guitar and bass, Blackheim on guitar and drummer Reaper, debuted with the 1995 'Hellspell' demo. French imprint Osmose Productions released 'Diabolical Desecration' in February 1996, this set, self-funded over a three day recording session at UMT Studios in Umeay, seeing both Vargher and Blackheim dividing lead vocal duties. That June the group promoted the record by traversing across Germany, Italy, France, Spain, Portugal, Belgium and Holland partnered with ANCIENT RITES, SACRAMENTUM and ENTHRONED. Their 1996 EP 'Encyclopedia Of Evil' is made up of covers of bands such as BLACK WIDOW's 'Sacrifice', MERCYFUL FATE's 'Come To The Sabbath', VENOM's 'Warhead', CELTIC FROST's 'Circle Of The Tyrants' and BATHORY's 'Hellcult'. The band was credited on these tracks as Blackheim "Howling Guitars & Diabolical Fire Burnin", Vargher "Infernal Distortion & Throat Molestin", Warthyr "Holocaust Bass" and Reaper "Drums Of Doom".

I rate Principles of Pain a 9/10. Elegy's previous release Forbidden Fruit is a 10 Plus, a truly amazing production, so that's maybe the reason why other fans may have felt this as a let down. This is an unfortunate thought because Principles has many incredible things to offer. Like most prog power-metal bands Elegy's musicianship is surreal, although in a league of their own and with a different brand. It shows they concentrate on quality and substance. But what makes Elegy so special is the way their message is conveyed. The lyrics are not that complicated, yet full of real life significance. The drum rhythmic patterns, creativity and overall structure is beyond belief. Guitarist Patrick Rondat does a very good job, although not quite up to par with original fretboard master Henk van der Laars. Ian Parry is in a class of his own, always able to sing over complex musical structures and still come out with strong and soulful vocals.

 With three new members in their line up, they seem more able than ever to imbue us with some melodic metal.
Rebirth it is then! Leaving intact the melodic songwriting, founding  guitar duo, comprising of Kiko Loureiro and Rafael Bittencourt, Angra have moved to a complete renewal of persons in the band. New (ex-Mitrium) vocalist, 28-year-old Edu Falaschi along with drummer Aquiles Priester and bassist Felipe Andreoli, are the renewed Angra.
Enough said though for the band itself.  Let's move to the juicy part. From the opening instrumental song called 'In Excelcis' their well known rhythm is apparent. The symphonic parts are more well balanced than ever before in this album and the guitars simply awesome, which manifests itself on 'Nova Era'.Edu Falaschi's capabilities seem to go beyond even those of Andre Matos. His voice has the maturity, hue and depth a band of Angra's caliber demand. He goes through the songs of the album with an ease and melody that is hard to find nowadays. This is evident particularly in 'Millenium Sun'.

  THORNWILL is a Hungarian modern Heavy/Power Metal band with many different aspects including some progressive elements. In the year 2010 the band released its first album called "Implosion". The Hungarian media responded quite quickly, lot of positive feedback arrived, articles and reviews pointed out that THORNWILL is capable of much more than to be a local band. THORNWILL played at the Hungarian Metalfest as a first presentation of the album, and won the second prize of the competition to play as support band for a well known musician later. Now THORNWILL is on tour with some other Hungarian bands.
